Well, there it Goes.

What triggers fear in the dark? We can manage to scare ourselves to death, just with one sound. One sound in the night, and there goes the safety. When this happens, we scare ourselves because we think the worst. The more creative the thought, the more the level of scare. Usually in the day if we hear a sound, we submit it as nothing. Why shouldn’t we? It’s daylight outside. But in the night, alone, we fear the worst.

Perhaps it’s the solitary darkness that gets to us.  Being alone, with no sound, our minds are free to kick in the overdrive. What we imagine the sound could be, we add details to it. These details could very well be what triggers the fear. We can even imagine seeing things. Such as shadows moving, clocks blinking, and even lights outside. Fear is a root from our mind. If we can control creativity, why can’t we control fear?
